According to Quebec adoption law, residents of Quebec mayinitiate an independent adoption, with some conditions, from countries allowing independent adoptions. For further information, contact the SAI at 1-800-561-0246. International Adoptions in Quebec fall under the jurisdiction of the SAI (Secrétariat de l'adoption internationale), and requires the approval of the SAI through the issuance of a Letter of Non-Objection (to the foreign adoption). However, apart from this condition, residents of Quebec may engage the services of licensed adoption agencies within Quebec only.

Open adoption is allowed.
