Public Adoption
"Departmental adoption" means an adoption under Adoption Act of a child who has been placed in the permanent custody of the Director of Child and Family Services under the Child and Family Services Act.

Private Adoption
Private Adoption are allowed if (a) the person has obtained the Director's written approval of the proposed
placement under section 7, or (b) where the person is a relative of the child. Child may be relinquished no sooner than 10 days after birth.

International Adoption
Contact the local Director of Child and Family Services.
Hague Convention is in effect.

Open Adoptions
Open adoption allowed.
